Who We Are
Get Lit Event Lighting was started by Dave Watson whose life experience has fostered a wide range of skills in electrical work and large machine maintenance in the Air Force, construction, carpentry and finish painting in home restoration and artistic hobby turned life skill, welding. Terri Watson, Dave’s wife and business partner, joined Get Lit Event Lighting and brought years of event planning experience which brought an understanding of how lighting services fit into the bigger picture of event production. Together, they built Get Lit Event Lighting into the company it is today. In January 2022 Terri Watson lost her fight with cancer, but her light still shines bright through everything we do at Get Lit Event Lighting.
In April 2022 Get Lit Event Lighting welcomed Derick Deaton back to North Carolina to be Vice President. Derick is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and brings 15 years of experience in event planning, staffing and management, production planning and design, Derick has also been a contractor for Get Lit for years doing installations which brings hands-on understanding about the installation process and everything involved in getting the design executed.
Get Lit Event Lighting has an installation crew that works very hard using top level equipment to produce unbelievable lighting installations. Behind the scenes management keeps things running smoothly and provides support to the team.
